ID Camp Information

Has your son been invited to the Region I Boys ID Camp?  Not sure what to expect?  The Region I Boys ODP Staff have prepared a brief outline to help you better understand the ID Camp Experience.

Camp 1 (2001's)July 5 - 8, 2014Rider University (NJ)
Camp 2 (2000's & 1999's)July 9 - 12, 2014Rider University (NJ)
Camp 3 (1998's & 1997's)July 9 - 12, 2014Kutztown University (PA)

The purpose of the ID Camp is twofold.  The first goal, which is key to the success of all the ID Camps, is to improve EVERY player so that he will go back to his club and/or school team and ELEVATE the quality of play amongst his teammates.

The second goal is to identify players to attend, in late July, the Call-Back Camp.  The players selected to the Call Back Camp are what comprise the Regional Pool of players for the upcoming seasonal year (13-14).  It is from these pools that players are selected to teams that will participate in the Fall Interregional Events (Thanksgiving, NCAA etc) and the Spring International Events.  In between the Fall and Spring events, these players will be called into various training weekends (Penn State, KSC etc).

Players are split up into teams for the week and assigned a Regional Camp Staff Coach.  The daily schedule will include (but is not limited to):

Field Training

Classroom Sessions

"League Play"

"Pool/All-Star" Games

1v1 assessments between player & coach

The Region I Boys ODP Staff have handpicked some of the best coaches on the East Coast to assist the Region I Age Group Head coaches with the daily training of each team.  Classroom discussion will address such topics as Nutrition, Injury Prevention, The College Decision Process etc.  Many of our staff are also College Coaches and can provide first hand knowledge of what to expect and what will be expected of them.  Click HERE to view our highly trained staff.

Players will be housed, along with their fellow State Association teammates, in dormitories.  There will be state association approved chaperones as well as state coaches staying with the players.  Meals will be held in the "all you can eat" dining facilities on campus.

All facilities (fields, classroom etc) are housed on the respective campus.
